ONLINE DEPRESSION THERAPY FOR ADULTS
Life can become smaller long before it becomes visibly unmanageable.
Depression may arrive as sadness. It may also look like flatness, withdrawal, irritability, lost momentum, or functioning without feeling connected to your own life.
WHAT IS HAPPENING
You may still be meeting obligations while privately disappearing from the rest of the picture.
The day gets done, but very little reaches you. Plans feel demanding, decisions feel heavy, and the things that used to restore you now require energy you do not have. Self-criticism then treats the loss of capacity as a character problem
We take the reduction in energy and interest seriously while examining grief, anger, relationship patterns, isolation, and the meanings that may be organized around it.
THIS MAY LOOK LIKE
Start with the part you recognize.
Withdrawing because contact feels effortful or exposing.
Losing interest without understanding what changed.
Functioning publicly and collapsing when the day is over.
Interpreting low capacity as laziness or failure.
Feeling irritable, numb, or detached, rather than overtly sad.
Waiting to feel motivated before taking any next step.
HOW WE WORK
We respect the weight of depression without letting it define the entire field of action.
Sessions can include close attention to mood, sleep, functioning, relationships, medical context, and safety. We also look beyond symptom tracking to understand what has been lost, silenced, or made impossible to want.
The pace is adjusted to your actual capacity. Small behavioral changes and deeper interpretive work can support each other rather than competing for the session. We address both the symptoms and what the depression may be organized around: loss, anger, grief, pressure, disconnection, self-criticism, or a life that no longer fits.
Treat reduced capacity as information rather than moral evidence.
WHAT BECOMES MORE AVAILABLE
1
Interrupt withdrawal before isolation becomes the only available setting.
2
Recover interest through contact and action, not by waiting for motivation to arrive first.

Questions about this work.
BEFORE WE BEGIN
-
Yes. Your anxiety, depression, and recurring patterns are signals from a part of you that deserves to be heard.
-
External functioning does not determine whether depression deserves attention. We look at the full impact on energy, connection, interest, and daily life.
-
No. This is a private practice. I do not provide crisis intervention and am not the correct person to contact in emergencies. If you are experiencing a psychiatric emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
