ONLINE TRAUMA THERAPY FOR ADULTS

A response can outlast the conditions that once made it necessary.

Trauma may remain active through vigilance, numbness, shame, relationship patterns, bodily reactions, or a sense that the present can change without warning.

WHAT IS HAPPENING

The reaction may feel disproportionate now because it was organized somewhere else.

You may understand that the current situation is different and still feel your body, attention, or relationships respond as though an older danger is present. Or the impact may be quieter: difficulty needing anyone, losing time, emotional distance, or self-blame that has become ordinary.

We work carefully with what remains active. You do not need to produce a complete narrative or disclose every detail in order for treatment to begin.

THIS MAY LOOK LIKE

Start with the part you recognize.

Vigilance that continues after the immediate risk has passed.

Strong activation or shutdown in situations that resemble an earlier experience.

Shame or self-blame that organizes present-day choices.

Difficulty trusting closeness, dependence, or your own memory.

Feeling detached from emotion or from part of an experience.

Repeating protective responses that now create different problems.

HOW WE WORK

The method follows your nervous system, history, and current life, not a preset script.

We identify the conclusions that remain active now. You may have become impressive enough to be seen, useful enough to be needed, independent enough to require very little, or guarded enough to expect nothing you cannot provide for yourself.

Treatment may integrate psychodynamic and relational psychotherapy, EMDR, parts work, somatic attention, and practical stabilization. We decide together what fits and when.

Recognize and old alarm without treating it as a complete reading of the present.
